A satellite payload balloon from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in Hyderabad came down unexpectedly on a house in the Bidar district of Karnataka. It happened early Saturday morning in Alsangi village, which is part of Homnabad Taluk. People in the village were surprised to find the big balloon and a machine had crashed into their property.
This TIFR balloon had travelled from Hyderabad over to Karnataka before it landed in the village. The balloon and the machine caused worry to the people living there. A red light was blinking on the machine which made the villagers even more anxious, because they didn’t know what it was or if it was dangerous.
The villagers were quick to react after finding the scientific equipment in their home. It’s likely that they contacted authorities to investigate the incident, but the article didn’t say anything else. No one was hurt, just startled and concerned by what happened in Alsangi village.
