Kerala Land Dispute: MP Urges Swift Action Over Waqf Board Claims

Munabam land waqt shashi tharoor

Shashi Tharoor a Member of Parliament asked the Kerala government to quickly fix a land problem in Munambam. People living in Cherai and Munambam in Ernakulam district are having trouble with the Waqf Board. The people say the Waqf Board is wrongly saying they own the land and houses when the residents have papers showing they own it and pay taxes on it. Tharoor is also asking the government to make sure this doesnt become a fight between different religions.

The main problem is the Waqf Board is saying they own land and houses in Munambam but the people living there say they have the real papers to prove they own it like deeds and tax receipts. There’s a big difference between what the board says and what the residents can prove. This has caused people in Munambam to protest and they want a solution to this fight that’s been going on.

The people want the Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan to help fix this land issue with the Waqf Board. People started protesting to show that they want their rights to be respected. Shashi Tharoor getting involved shows how serious this problem is and he is pushing the state government to handle the problem quickly and find a solution that works for everyone involved.
