Opposition leaders in Maharashtra spoke out against the state government Thursday. They said law and order is getting worse after an attack on actor Saif Ali Khan’s home. Shiv Sena-UBT MP Sanjay Raut called it sad that even someone like Khan isn’t safe in Mumbai. He said the police don’t seem to be around enough and common people are also in danger with thieves now targeting artists’ homes. The leaders worry this attack has made people nervous.
The attack happened at Khan’s house in Bandra. Opposition leaders are using it to show how safety in the state is going down. They think it proves the government isn’t doing its job and criminals aren’t afraid of the law. They also say the government isn’t doing anything which lets criminals get away with targeting anyone even famous people like Khan. This shows them the state is in a bad way.
The leaders believe this incident shows the state government isn’t keeping law and order. They want the government to do more especially in Mumbai. They’re using what happened to Saif Ali Khan to show how unsafe things are in the state. The opposition is asking for better policing so everyone can feel safe.
