    Mumbai witnesses the death of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s older sister

    According to a BJP office-bearer, Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s older sister passed away on Monday while receiving care in a Mumbai hospital. Amit Shah announced that he had cancelled all of his scheduled events in Gujarat in the wake of Rajeshwariben Shah’s passing.

    The age of Rajeshwariben was mid-60s. According to the office bearer, she had been unwell for some time and was receiving treatment at a hospital in Mumbai when she passed away early on Monday morning.

    Shah cancelled all of his plans for the day in response to the passing of his sick sister. He told the news agency PTI, “Rajeshwariben’s body remains have been transported to her residence here this morning, and her funeral rites would be held at Thaltej cremation in the afternoon.

    Amit Shah, the Lok Sabha representative for Gandhinagar, has been in Ahmedabad since Sunday to celebrate Makar Sankranti alongside members of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

    Amit Shah was supposed to be at two functions in the districts of Gandhinagar and Banaskantha on Monday.

    Shah, who is also in charge of the Cooperation portfolio, was supposed to launch a number of Banas Dairy projects in Deodar village in Banaskantha.

    Amit Shah was due to inaugurate many development projects at Rashtriya Raksha University in Gandhinagar in the afternoon.
