The 4th of February has been set as the date for the second phase examination. Currently, the exam for the second phase has also been canceled. Leaked was the exam paper from the January 28 exam. There were three shifts for the examination. Each shift’s exam lasted for two hours. An hour-long break was provided following the first and second shift exams. The candidates had permission to leave the center after the second shift. At 8:30 a.m., the first shift assessment began. This is why only seven o’clock was set as the reporting time at the exam center. Who will cover the candidates’ lost time and money is the question that emerges.
Owing to the substantial number of students taking the test, centers were established both in urban and rural areas. For the exam, students had to travel between 100 and 200 kilometers. Students managed to get to the center by making reservations for a bus, train, car, or other means. stayed the night by the roadside or at the station in the bitter cold. In all of this, at least Rs 2000 was spent on each candidate. The data indicates that approximately three lakh candidates took the test. In this way, the candidates’ travel, lodging, and food expenses totaled around Rs 65 crore. The majority of applicants who took the test are from low-income backgrounds.
Neelima, a candidate from Bhagalpur, had her center in Dhanbad. She is parentless. She claimed that she had borrowed money from her neighbor in order to appear for this exam. Plus there was the additional hassle of having to stay the night at the station due to a lack of funds for the hotel. Neelima reported that the exam went well, but the outcome was insignificant. The concern now is how she’s going to quickly return the neighbour’s money.
Suraj, a Pakur candidate, claimed that the CGL was arranged after a long period of time. The exam was then conducted and canceled. On the day of the exam, Suraj claimed to have been hungry from dawn until dusk. Additionally, the center was located in a way that made commuting the only task required.
