Samajwadi Party Backs AAP in Delhi to Fight BJP, Says Yadav in Uttarakhand

Akhilesh Yadav the head of Samajwadi Party said his party will support Aam Aadmi Party not Congress in Delhi. He thinks AAP is stronger there and can do a better job of beating the BJP. He made it clear that the big goal of the INDIA group is still to take down the BJP.

Yadav also talked about the importance of letting local parties take the lead where they’re strong. He said even with this choice in Delhi the INDIA group is still working together. He was talking to reporters in Haridwar where he was to spread his uncle’s ashes in the Ganga River.

Basically Yadav’s point was that the INDIA alliance is united and backing AAP in Delhi is just a smart way to win votes against the BJP. He wants to support whoever has the best chance of winning in each area so the BJP has a harder time.
