The Supreme Court on Wednesday tossed out a request from K.T. Rama Rao he used to be a minister. He wanted the court to stop a police investigation about the Formula E race in Hyderabad last year but his lawyer pulled back the request so the court said no to it. This case is about some money about 55 crore rupees being sent to a company outside the country and people think that was not right.
Now that the court isn’t stopping them the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau will probably start looking into this again. They are likely gonna ask K.T. Rama Rao to come in and talk about the money transfer and maybe some other people who used to be in charge of the Formula E event too. The ACB wants to see if the rules about using public money were followed or broken.
Basically the whole case is about whether the money used for the Formula E race was handled correctly. The ACB thinks about 55 crore rupees might not have been and the court decision means they can now keep looking into it. They will talk to K.T. Rama Rao and others to find out if anyone did anything wrong and who might be responsible.
