Top Lawyers Demand CBI Probe into Allahabad Judge’s Alleged Anti-Muslim Remarks

Thirteen senior lawyers from India’s Supreme Court have asked the Chief Justice of India to have the CBI investigate a judge named Shekhar Kumar Yadav. They are saying he made comments that were anti-Muslim and that this is a problem. The lawyers sent a letter to the Chief Justice explaining why they think this needs to happen.

The lawyers specifically mentioned comments Justice Yadav made during a court case that they believe show bias against Muslims. They feel like his comments go against the rules for judges and make it hard for people to trust the courts are fair. They want the police to make a case and the CBI to investigate so that there are consequences for this kind of behavior.

These lawyers are worried about how Justice Yadav’s comments could affect the court system. They believe it’s important to show that judges can’t make comments that show prejudice and that they will be held accountable. They want a proper legal investigation to happen and they want the matter addressed quickly.
