Rajasthan Congress leader Ashok Gehlot condemned the demolition drive targeting Muslim religious sites in border districts, alleging political polarization following Amit Shah's May 2026 visit. AIMIM's Asaduddin Owaisi reported multiple mosques and dargahs demolished, including a 250-year-old site. The APCR also condemned eviction notices. Over 23 mosques were demolished across BJP-ruled states recently.
