Tahir Hussain and Four Accused Sentenced to Life for Killing IB Officer Ankit Sharma in 2020 Delhi Riots

A Delhi court sentenced former councillor Tahir Hussain and four others to life imprisonment for killing IB officer Ankit Sharma. The murder occurred during the 2020 Northeast Delhi riots. Although the judge called the crime brutal and sickening, the court rejected the death penalty. The convicts were found guilty of murder but acquitted of the charge of criminal conspiracy.
