Gaza's Dialysis Crisis: Half of Machines Out of Service Due to Shortage

Nearly half of Gaza's al-Shifa Medical Complex dialysis machines are non-functional due to a critical sodium bicarbonate shortage. Twenty-five machines are down, leaving only 26 partially working. Staff reduced sessions from four to three hours and weekly treatments from three to two. This severely affects 240 kidney failure patients, raising fatal cardiac and respiratory risks.
