Asad, Key Suspect in Surya Chauhan Murder, Dies in Ghaziabad Police Shootout

Asad, the main accused in the murder of 17-year-old Surya Pratap Chauhan, was killed in a police encounter in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Surya was fatally stabbed on May 28 during Bakrid, sparking local protests. Asad, who had a ₹50,000 reward, was shot after allegedly firing at police. One constable was injured. Three other accused were arrested earlier.
