John L. Esposito, Renowned Islam Scholar, Passes Away at 86

Georgetown University's John L. Esposito, a renowned scholar of Islam and interfaith relations, has passed away at 86. He authored numerous influential works, served as editor of major Oxford reference works, and founded Georgetown's Prince Alwaleed Center. Esposito also held prominent roles in academic associations and advised on documentaries.
