Mohammad Deepak Faces Financial Crisis, May Close Gym in Kotdwar

Deepak Kumar, known as Mohammad Deepak, may close his gym and leave Kotdwar after facing financial trouble following his public support for a Muslim shopkeeper. He claims his landlord issued an ultimatum over unpaid rent and that activists discouraged his clients. Police registered three FIRs after protests. Deepak says business has not recovered, with monthly rent at Rs 40,000 and membership too low to cover costs.
