Over 2.2 million medical aspirants took the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination across India and abroad under strict security after the earlier test was cancelled due to an alleged question paper leak. The exam was held at 5,440 centres with extensive CCTV surveillance and signal jammers. Many candidates reported the paper was tougher than the previous attempt.
