UP PAC Constable Arrested for Alleged Role in Dalit Woman's Murder in Meerut

A PAC constable, Ankit, was arrested for allegedly conspiring with his brother in the murder of a 20-year-old Dalit woman, Lalita Gautam, in Meerut, UP. Ankit's brother, Ankush, was previously arrested for the murder. Lalita's body was found on May 17, a day after she was reported missing. Ankit, on leave from the PAC, was accused of conspiring in the murder and destroying evidence. He was booked under murder, conspiracy, and atrocity act charges.
