New Zealand Hails Gaza Ceasefire Urges Aid Deliver

Winston Peters New Zealand’s Foreign Minister talked about the recent agreement to stop fighting in Gaza saying the past 15 months were really tough on people. He thanked the US Qatar and Egypt for their help in making the deal happen. He also said it’s super important that everyone follows the agreement especially when it comes to protecting people and freeing the hostages.

Peters also said it’s crucial that lots of humanitarian help gets to Gaza. This means getting food medicine and other important stuff to people who are struggling because of the fighting. He didn’t go into all the details about the fighting but he made it clear it was a big conflict that hurt a lot of people and damaged a lot of things.

Even though he’s happy about the agreement Peters knows things have been really bad in Gaza. He’s focusing on what needs to happen now like making sure the ceasefire holds and that people get the help they need. He is also making clear that other countries understand how bad the situation is and that help needs to arrive quickly.
