Bomb Threat on Lufthansa Flight to Hyderabad; Aircraft Lands Safely
A bomb threat email sent to Lufthansa’s customer support triggered a security alert at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad on Friday, May 15. The message claimed an explosive device had been planted on flight LH-754 arriving from Frankfurt, Germany, and warned it would detonate before landing.
Security agencies immediately activated emergency protocols and placed personnel on high alert. Despite the threat, the aircraft landed safely at the airport. As a precaution, passengers were quickly moved to a separate area, and the plane was shifted to an isolation bay away from the main terminal for a thorough security sweep.
Bomb disposal teams and airport security personnel conducted a detailed inspection of the aircraft. No immediate threat was found during the search. The motive behind the threat and the identity of the sender remain unknown. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
