According to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, if Prime Minister Narendra Modi is re-elected, the upcoming general election will be the final one held in India on January 29 in Bhubaneswar.
Mr. Kharge was giving a speech in Bhubaneswar to the Congress workers convention.
“Yesterday, one of our leaders from India left, whether you realise it or not. It took him away from us. The way the current government operates is by repeatedly delivering notices to leaders, inciting fear, and making threats. People are running away from gatherings, friendships, and partnerships because they are afraid. Can the nation, democracy, or constitution endure if there are still so many cowards? He inquired.
“This is the last chance that voters have to make a clear and decisive ballot. There won’t be any more elections after this, thus there won’t be any more opportunities to vote. Similar elections to those that elected Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place. They will continue to hold power by governing the country based on their amassed authority. They will receive 300, 400, and 200 seats. The head of Congress stated, “They will even raise the number of seats beyond 600.”
It is the duty of the people to defend democracy and the Constitution and to see to it that regular elections are held. The people hold the power to ensure democracy’s continued existence. You can continue to have democracy if you so choose. But it’s up to you if you decide to stay in subservience,” he informed Congress employees.
“While Mr. Modi is taking lives, former prime ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi gave their lives in service of the people. Mr. Modi unleashes the CBI, Income Tax, and ED on any political leader who disobeys him. The seasoned leader declared, “He is using this terror mechanism to run government.”
“We administered the government with love, embracing each other,” Mr. Kharge said. The Congress has made significant contributions to the advancement of education, health, industry, and the creation of numerous prominent organisations in modern society. It appears that the current administration enjoys stirring up strife and strife among the populace.
In response to questions on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar quitting the INDIA alliance, he stated, “Someone mentioned that the alliance took a hit when one member left. Does the departure of one person undermine the nation? No. Similarly, the loss of one or two members would not undermine the coalition. We’re going to come out stronger.
With the statement, “Former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik was close to former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru,” the Congress president took a strong stance against the BJD Government. He was adhering to Nehruji’s philosophy. He was the old Patnaik. However, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik of today adheres to the BJP’s philosophy.
He said the BJD and BJP have been in an unofficial partnership for a long time with the intention of stealing money through the sale of mineral resources.
