AIMPLB to Challenge MP HC's Bhojshala-Kamal Maula Mosque Ruling in SC

The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has rejected the Madhya Pradesh High Court's verdict declaring the Bhojshala-Kamal Maula Mosque complex a Saraswati temple, calling it "unacceptable." The Board announced it will challenge the decision in the Supreme Court, arguing the judgment contradicts historical records, archaeological evidence, and the Places of Worship Act, 1991. AIMPLB criticized the court for ignoring ASI's earlier acknowledgment of the site's shared nature and the 2003 administrative arrangement allowing both Hindu and Muslim worship. The Communist Party of India (Marxist) also expressed concern and hopes the Supreme Court will overturn the verdict.
