Journalist Abhishek Upadhyay has approached the Supreme Court, claiming Ghaziabad Police sought his digital data from platform X in a road-rage case. His lawyer argued the request, covering data from June 1, is unrelated to the August 18 incident. Upadhyay fears this could expose confidential sources from his reporting on alleged Ram Temple donation misconduct. The Supreme Court had earlier granted him protection from arrest and noted his concerns, directing the police to provide the FIR. The case is set for further hearing on September 7.
