A truck accident on the Lucknow-Delhi highway in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, created significant traffic problems. The incident happened near Zero Point in the Munda Pandey area when a truck carrying sugarcane lost its brakes and flipped over. This caused immediate chaos, leading to a large traffic jam and considerable worry for drivers.
The truck driver was trapped inside the vehicle after the accident. Police officers and people nearby worked together to free the driver. They successfully pulled him from the wreckage, but he had serious injuries. Paramedics rushed him to the district hospital for urgent medical care.
The overturned truck and the scattered sugarcane blocked a large part of the highway. This caused long lines of vehicles to form as traffic was slowed to a crawl. Officials had difficulty removing the truck and its load, which further delayed efforts to clear the road.
This accident highlights the risks of driving large trucks. According to one of the bystanders who helped with the rescue, “The truck driver was trapped inside the truck and was severely injured, we all worked hard to get him out.” Such accidents involving heavy vehicles can result in severe injuries and major disruptions. These types of road incidents need to be addressed to ensure safer travel on highways for everyone.
