Abhishek Banerjee Attacked in Sonarpur: TMC Alleges Pre-Planned Assault

Abhishek Banerjee, a Trinamool Congress leader, was attacked in Sonarpur, West Bengal. People threw stones, eggs, and shoes at him while shouting slogans. Banerjee said the attack was pre-planned and organized. He claimed police protection was missing during the incident. Banerjee sustained injuries, including eye damage from a brick and torn clothing. He wore a police helmet. TMC and other opposition parties blamed BJP for the violence. Police later provided security.
