NBDSA Sanctions Zee News for Code of Ethics Violations, Complainant Seeks Proportionate Action Against Anti-Muslim Content

On May 19, the NBDSA fined Zee News Rs 25,000 for violating ethics codes by airing a distressing interview with a murder suspect's mother. The channel was ordered to remove the footage. However, NBDSA took no action against Zee for two other reports containing anti-Muslim misinformation. The complainant, Ghorpade, has requested NBDSA to reconsider, warning of further legal action if the authority fails to uphold its own ethical standards.
