Muslim Group in MP's Khargone Calls for Cow as National Animal, Stronger Cattle Protection Law

A Muslim organization in Madhya Pradesh's Khargone district submitted a memorandum to India's President demanding cows be declared the national animal. The Madhya Pradesh Muslim Vikas Parishad called for strict nationwide cattle protection legislation. State vice-president Azizuddin Sheikh emphasized cows are vital to Indian culture, agriculture, and rural economy. The delegation submitted the memorandum to the Deputy Collector.
