On January 31, Vinay Kumar Chaubey, who had been the Chief Minister’s secretary, submitted his resignation concurrently with Hemant Soren’s apprehension by the Enforcement Department (ED). Notably, prior to the arrest, Hemant Soren had already given his resignation to the Governor at Raj Bhavan.
One of the most important steps in the administrative restructuring brought about by the change in leadership is the appointment of Vinay Kumar Chaubey as Principal Secretary. The Principal Secretary’s function becomes more important in enabling efficient governance when Champai Soren assumes the duties of the Chief Minister’s office.
This development highlights the need for a stable and effective government in the wake of Jharkhand’s increased political upheaval. With his wealth of administrative experience, Vinay Kumar Chaubey is well-positioned to assist the newly appointed Chief Minister, Champai Soren, in guiding the state’s future.
